Aleya Michaud est une artiste visuelle ainsi qu’une travailleuse des arts et de la culture basée à Riverview, au Nouveau‑Brunswick. Une artiste autodidacte travaillant principalement la peinture et le dessin, elle intègre le jeu au cœur de son processus créatif, explorant la relation entre l’instinct, la structure et la confiance en soi.

Son travail a été présenté lors d’expositions individuelles à la Galerie Sans Nom et inclus dans l’exposition collective Undergrowth au Centre des arts de la Confédération. Elle a été mise en avant dans Sarment le journal, The Maritime Edit et par l’Institut de l’art canadien, et a également présenté des conférences au sein de sa communauté.

Michaud a participé à des résidences au Centre des arts et de la culture de Dieppe, ainsi qu’au Projet Borgitte, où elle a développé les projets Permission to Play et Made Outside / Faite Dehors. Récipiendaire de plusieurs subventions d’ArtsNB, elle poursuit le développement de sa pratique à travers la curiosité et un engagement constant envers la matière, le processus et la forme.

Aleya Michaud is a visual artist and arts and culture worker based in Riverview, New Brunswick. A self-taught artist working primarily in painting and drawing, her practice embraces play as a creative process, exploring the relationship between instinct, structure, and self-trust.
�Her work has been presented in solo exhibitions at Galerie Sans Nom and included in the group exhibition Undergrowth at the Confederation Centre of the Arts. She has been featured in Sarment le journal, The Maritime Edit, and the Art Canada Institute, and has presented talks within her community.
